Measured in the thickest section on the medron of the base of the horn, adapting the measuring tape to the ridges.

4. Span of the horns;

The maximum external span of the trophy, measured with a slide:

– If equal to or less than 80% of the length of the longest horn: 0 points.
– From 80.01 to 85%: 1 point.
– From 85.01 to 105%: 2 points.
– From 105.01 to 110%: 1 points.
– Higher than 110: 0 points.

5. Age points.

One point will be awarded per year from the tenth day onwards.
10 years. 1 point.
11 years: 2 points.
12 years: 3 points.
13 years: 4 points.

And thus adding one more point for each year…

6. Curvature;

The characteristic shape is that of a lyre:

– Straight horns: 0 points.
– Horns with a turning point: 1 point.
– Horns with two turning points: 2 points.
– Horns with two turning points and the third started: 3 points.
– Horns with three turning points: 4 points.
– Horns with three very different inflection points: 5 points.

7. Penalty.

The Northern scale will be applied to goat trophies, hunted in the Provinces of: Ávila, Burgos, León, Salamanca, Segovia, Zamora, Cáceres (north of the Tagus River), Madrid, Lugo, Orense, Asturias, Tarragona, Barcelona, Castellón and Teruel.

The Medium scale will be applied to goat trophies, hunted in the Provinces of: Valencia, Alicante, Murcia, Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Toledo, Cáceres (south of the Tagus River) and Zaragoza.

The Southern scale will be applied to goat trophies, hunted in the Provinces of: Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Jaén, Málaga and Seville.

The Northern Scale will be applied to all Macho Montés trophies hunted in closed farms.
