1. Longitud de las cuernas

Measured following the external curvature, from the lower external edge of the rosette to the highest notch. The measuring tape will be pressed against the antler at 3 cm. of the rosette. When measuring the highest notch, it will be done at a point where the blade measures at least 50% of its maximum width.

Measured along the anteroinferior surface, from the junction with the rosette to the end.

3. Length of the blades.

Measured following the outer curvature of the antler, from the place where it begins to widen to the highest notch.

4. Width of the blades.

Measurement in the place of greatest extension of the blade, without taking into account points or protuberances, and taking the complete contour of it, adapting the measuring tape to the irregularities. Half of this measurement is the value of the width of the blade.

5. Perimeter of the rosettes.

Measured in the thickest section of it, saving the roughness with the measuring tape.

6-7. Perimeter of the antlers.

Measured at the thinnest section, between the lug and the center tip.

7. Perimeter of the left horn, between the lug and the central tip.

It will be measured the same as the previous one. If it is not possible to take the measurement due to the very low rise of the blade, it will be replaced by the perimeter of the stake (points numbers 6 and 7), increased by 1 cm. In the event that the measurement can be taken on one antler, it will be adopted for both.

8-9. Perimeter of the antlers between the central tip and the headstock.

10. Weight of the antlers.

They are weighed in kilograms, with an appreciation of up to 10 gr. , the antlers and the skull free of all foreign matter.

– With the skull sawed, so that the upper teeth are missing, 0.10 kg will be deducted. of the total weight.

12. Penalty.

Insufficient wingspan;

The maximum internal separation between the antlers:

– If it is less than 85% of the average antler length: 1 point.
– If it is less than 80% of the average length of the antlers: 2 points.
– If it is less than 75% of the average length of the antlers): 3 points.
– If it is less than 70% of the average length of the antlers: 4 points.
– If it is less than 65% of the average antler length: 5 points.
– If it is less than 60% of the average length of the antlers: 6 points.

Defective blades.

Each racket is valued separately as follows:
– Kidney-shaped, rhomboidal or triangular shape: 1 to 3 points.

Blade edge.

– For smooth or porous blades: From 0 to 2 points.

Irregularities.

From 0 to 6 points:

– Different length of fights.
